Withdraw from the contract

Use this form to exercise your statutory right of withdrawal. You do not need to give a reason. Consumers retain their withdrawal rights for paper products even after we have placed an order. The conditions below apply to digital products.

Right of withdrawal

1. When you have a cooling-off period

If you buy as a consumer at a distance, the law in principle gives you fourteen days to change your mind (Article 6:230o of the Dutch Civil Code). Within that period you may dissolve the agreement without giving a reason. For digital content, the right of withdrawal may only end under the conditions in section 2. That exception does not apply to the paper extract.

If you order on behalf of a business or for your profession, you are not a consumer. You then have no right of withdrawal, not even for a paper extract.

2. Digital products: conditions for losing the right of withdrawal

These are our digital products:

  • the digital certified extract;
  • the additions you receive as a PDF, such as history, filings, group relationships and annual accounts;
  • the Company Profile;
  • the Company Report.

Execution of your order may begin after payment is confirmed. KVK documents use our ordering process; we compile the Company Profile ourselves. Work may be queued or require checks. A Company Report may have to wait for its separate source documents. We therefore do not promise that every paid order is forwarded or compiled without waiting.

When you order, we ask you to tick this sentence:

I agree to the terms and conditions and acknowledge the privacy notice and disclaimer. I expressly consent to digital delivery or services starting during the withdrawal period. I acknowledge that I lose my right of withdrawal for digital content once delivery begins, and for services once they have been fully performed. For paper products, I retain my statutory withdrawal period.

By ticking the box, you request delivery during the cooling-off period and acknowledge the possible loss of your right of withdrawal for digital content. That right ends only when all legal conditions are met: your prior express consent, your acknowledgement of the loss, confirmation on a durable medium and the actual start of delivery (Article 6:230p(g) of the Dutch Civil Code). Payment, scheduling work or starting processing alone is not enough. For a package, we assess this for each digital order line. Your paper extract retains the right described in section 3.

We record when you ticked the box and your IP address with the order. The confirmation email repeats the declaration. That record does not by itself mean that all conditions for losing your right of withdrawal have been met.

Changing or cancelling an order may be practically limited once work has been carried out or a document has been ordered from KVK. This does not limit your statutory right of withdrawal. Before paying, check the company, branch, product, language and email address.

The Company Report is a package. The Dutch Chamber of Commerce emails you the certified extract itself. We supply the other documents through the status page. The extract remains a separate file with its original electronic seal.

For services, the right of withdrawal ends only after full performance, if you expressly consented in advance to performance during the cooling-off period and acknowledged that you would lose your right once the service had been fully performed (Article 6:230p(a) of the Dutch Civil Code). Payment or starting work alone is not sufficient.

3. Paper extract: fourteen days for consumers

The paper certified extract is a physical document. The exception for digital products does not apply to it. If you are a consumer, you have fourteen days to change your mind about a paper extract. That period starts on the day after you receive the extract. You may also withdraw earlier.

Your extract is delivered to your address as a PostNL letterbox parcel with track & trace.

If you withdraw, the following applies:

  • You return the extract to Vliegveldweg 106, 6199 AD Maastricht-Airport, Netherlands within fourteen days of your withdrawal.
  • The cost of returning it is yours.
  • You may look at the extract the way you would in a shop. If it has lost value because you did more with it than that, for example by writing on it or damaging it, we may charge you for that loss in value.
  • We refund the amount you paid for that order line within fourteen days of your withdrawal. If you withdraw from the entire order, we also refund the cost of standard delivery to you. If you withdraw from only part of the order, we do not refund the delivery cost. We may wait until we have the extract back or until you show that you have sent it.

4. If nothing has been delivered

The right of withdrawal stands apart from our delivery guarantee. If the Chamber of Commerce does not deliver the ordered document, we refund the full amount of that order line. You do not need to invoke a right of withdrawal for that. Report it at info@kvkuittrekselaanvragen.nl or through the button on the status page of your order.

5. How to withdraw

  1. Tell us within the period that you are dissolving the agreement. A plain email to info@kvkuittrekselaanvragen.nl is enough, or use the form below. State your order number.
  2. We confirm your message.
  3. Return the paper extract as described in section 3.
  4. We refund using the same payment method you paid with. We charge you nothing for this.

You may use the online withdrawal form. You can also withdraw by email; using the form is optional.

6. Model withdrawal form

You do not have to use this form. A plain email with the same details is enough. Complete this form only if you wish to dissolve the agreement.
