What relationships can you encounter?
The KVK shows three types of relationships: sole shareholder, liable partner and director.'Sole shareholder' here means that an organization owns all shares; a minority interest does not appear through that category. The available relationships depend on what is registered in the Trade Register. The product is intended for relationships between legal entities, partnerships and any registered foreign organizations, not for an overview of all natural persons behind a company.
Direct relationships and the full corporate group
The 'direct relations' variant shows the legal entities directly above and below the selected registration. A subsidiary of a subsidiary may therefore fall outside this overview. The KVK also has a variant for the entire group; it is not included in our automatic ordering route. If you only want to check direct connections, see our product information. No complete shareholder register
You cannot deduce from an overview of group relationships that all shareholders or ultimate beneficial owners are visible. A relationship with a natural person is not included as a group connection. The overview also does not show detailed information about each registration. If you want to know who is allowed to sign for one company or what its current status is, please consult a trade register extract.
When is there nothing to show?
Not every organization is part of a concern. The KVK also states that a general partnership, limited partnership or professional partnership is only visible in this product when a legal entity is involved as a partner. An empty or limited result is therefore not proof that you have a picture of all commercial ties of a company.
Determine the scope of your investigation
- Do you want to see direct relationships or the entire group structure?
- Is your question about organizations or about natural persons and UBOs?
- In addition to the relationship, do you also need current information about a separate registration?
